Description
Chryso®Corrocrete 552 is a bipolar corrosion inhibiting admixture in liquid form for reinforced concrete and mortar. It provides outstanding resistance against corrosion of rebar.
Chryso®Corrocrete 552 is a migratory corrosion inhibiting admixture for reinforced structures. It forms a unimolecular protective layer on the surface of steel, thereby inhibiting corrosion.
Chryso®Corrocrete 552 is based on amine technology (amine alcohols and amine carboxylates).
It is classified as mixed inhibitors, affecting both anodic and cathodic portions of a corrosion cell.
Application areas
- Chryso®Corrocrete 552 can be used in reinforced concrete subjected to aggressive corrosive environment specifically in chloride induced corrosion.
- It is very suitable for concrete in foundation sub-structures, piers, piles, and concrete dock structures.
- Bridges, highways, chlorinating plants, sewerage systems tunnels, retaining walls, industrial plants, park decks in multi-storied car parks etc.
- Building facades and balconies.
Benefits
- By using, Chryso®Corrocrete 552 the life expectancy and durability of the structure will substantially increase.
- It migrates as liquid through the concrete matrix via capillary action and migrates in a vapour phase throughout the concrete pore structure forming a mono-molecular layer.
- Protects concrete from the destructive influences of reinforcement corrosion.
- Do not have any negative effects on the properties of fresh and hardened concrete.
- Non-toxic, eco-friendly.
