CHRYSO®Foam CQ

Foaming agent

Description

CHRYSO®Foam CQ is a chemical blend of organic compounds specifically designed to promote the controlled generation and stabilization of air entrainment in low‑density concrete and mortar systems.

It is intended for use in lightweight and foam concrete production, where consistent foam stability and density control are required.

CHRYSO®Foam CQ is specifically intended for the production of low density mortar systems such as perlite and vermiculite.

CHRYSO®Foam CQ can also be used as a normal air-entraining agent for conventional concrete and mortars.

Application areas

CHRYSO®Foam CQ is recommended for all concrete and mortar mixes where low density and entrained air is required.

  • All cement types
  • Concrete exposed to freeze thaw
  • Extruded concrete
  • Dams
  • Marine construction
  • Civil Engineering
  • Reservoirs
  • Optimisation of coarse sand particle size distribution
  • Motorway slabs
  • Airport runways
  • etc

Benefits

  • CHRYSO®Foam CQ does not require mechanical agitation to generate air entrainment; however, the use of an approved foam generator is essential for producing low‑density and foam concrete.
  • It enables density reduction of up to 70%, depending on the mix design, application system, and mixing equipment employed.
  • Ennhances mix workability. The entrained micro‑air bubbles act as internal lubricants, improving flow characteristics and reducing internal friction within the mix.
